Artist Statement: TOWER
"This work originated one night, at dusk when I was crossing the parking lot of a building I help manage. I noticed the moon had positioned itself precisely above the building’s tower, and it struck me as a modern conflation with ancient architecture. Thousands of years ago, structures like the Pyramids and Stonehenge were built to line up with celestial bodies, believing harmony with the heavens brought prosperity. Today, I look up at this tower in much the same way - recognizing a direct connection between it and my own future."
