Artist’s Process: Botanical Prints
This is a series of imagery created with relief printing using cut out shapes of matboard, similar to collograph printing. Ink is rolled onto each piece of board, then run through a printing press and transferred to paper.
For each monoprint I used simplified shapes to layer colours. The finished images are unique, much in the same way that no two bouquets of flowers or bunches of berries are alike.
