Nature and wild places have been a constant place to where I regularly commute in my life. They have been especially important for me in the past few years. They helped keep me sane through thought and uncertain times. A place God seemingly created for us in which to take refuge and see life more clearly, at least for a while.
I have had the opportunity to travel a bit around the Atlantic provinces; the Fundy coast, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, etc., thus discovering different moods and expressions in the landscape, every time drawing a slightly different emotional response. It’s also been fascinating to discover how various habitats adapt to exposed and rugged landscapes, borne out of a necessity to be close to nature, not necessarily for spiritual reason, but for survival.
