This watercolour has not been previously framed or displayed. It has recently been framed with archival material, UV protective glass and an antique white and silver wooden moulding by Roma Moulding. The framed dimensions are 35 x 31 in.
In "Wildflowers of Canada - Impressions and Sketches of a Field Artist" Molly writes:
A JUG OF AUGUST FLOWERS
Were I a horticulturalist I would write all sorts of interesting facts about flower - and give them their proper names too - but alas. I am no scholar and have an impatient way of responding to life. I am content to leave detail and cataloguing to others, but when the colour and texture and shape of flowers come together in a white pot, their meaning is a visual delight - that's why it is hard to write about them. I they speak for themselves.
