It is hand made as a collectable item for the home interior. The original material was resourced at a lumber mill as disregarded off cut material. The importance of this piece displays how nature deserves a second chance, particularly in its transformation into furniture. Aspects include solid hardwood, including spalted maple with walnut inlays. It is joined together by mortise and tenon joinery. The form of stool_05 is inspired by the rock formations at Giants Causeway, Northern Ireland region. The polygonal form is highlighted in the stools seat and legs.
