Kim Bent, owner and artist at “Bent Threads,” is a weaver and spinner in Fredericton, NB. Her enthusiasm for the textile arts goes back to early childhood. She enjoys working in different techniques but weaving remains her first love. She is an active member of the Fibre Arts Network (FAN) in Fredericton and a juried member of Craft NB.
I love colour and texture. More recently, I have become fascinated by pattern. The mathematical processes involved in weaving are also intriguing to me and combining all of these aspects of my craft makes my heart sing. I fervently hope that others might enjoy the results.
