Elaine Goble has been a professional artist for forty years. Her formal studies are from York University and the University of Western Ontario, completed in the late Seventies. Elaine quickly found her preferred media of graphite and egg tempera.
Elaine’s career has straddled two artistic worlds. She has a very successful and respected life as a fine art artist whose works are featured in the private collections of many public galleries. She has also had numerous institutional exhibitions and commissions, which have garnered her accolades.
Her passions are numerous and often find their way into her art. Her artistic response to the tragedy of the events of 9/11 in New York City was a cri de Coeur in graphite, which was featured in the Grand Hall at the Canadian War Museum, Ottawa from 2007 to 2009.
For over a decade, Elaine worked on a contemporary series based on the consequences of war. This body of work was exhibited at the McMichael Canadian Collection in Kleinburg, Ontario, The Canadian War Museum, Ottawa, and the Canadian Museum of Civilization, Gatineau.
