Lino (linoleum) cut this is a modern variant of the wood cut originally developed by the German art collective Die Brücke in the first decade of the 20th century. The process is identical to the woodcut but because of the nature of linoleum the marks have a different texture. Linocuts and woodcuts therefore exist side-by-side as similar but different printmaking techniques.
