Art is an attempt to return a portion of the joy the world presents to us.
We are all creatures of time and of our own personal histories. In my work, I play with the world in which I grew up, and the landscape in which I find myself today.
The wobbly wooden chairs that graced the family kitchen, mason jars that held a variety of special preserves - it's items like these that retain a connection to a personal timeline. For me, they often act as a starting point for the creation of art.
