These Opus Craft handcraft artisans opened their studio-shops in June 1975 and produced wares until about 1983.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDemaine had moved his studio from the area of Miramichi Bay to Opus Village at Mactaquac, near the St. John River. According to Bob Kavanagh, former director of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, \"Opus Village was a craft-making community that was very active for a number of years.
