This series of monotypes are mostly images that have transpired from material and views seen within my well hidden studio in the woods of New Brunswick. I found I was using my own working materials, pencils, pastels and drawing books as subjects to draw inspiration from. As days went by I was unintentionally accumulating objects which were particularly Canadian such as a raccoon hat, Moosehead beer bottle, a moose skull, a bunch of Fireweed, maple syrup container and finally ending up with an image of a First nation figurine contemplating a Tim Horton coffee mug. As a group I am tempted to call this exhibition Self portrait in Canadian folklore.
